Upstairs loft bedroom with king size bed, full bath (with shower and jacuzzi tub) and small library/writing area.
Guest room with queen size bed and writing desk.

Full bath on main level.

Kitchen has a breakfast bar that seats two, large refrigerator, oven/stove, microwave, and dishwasher. It is well supplied with coffee pot, coffee grinder, electric tea kettle, pots/pans/baking sheet, small food processor, strainer, salad spinner, pizza stone, plenty of dishes and serving dishes, garlic press, popcorn popper (oil), measuring cups/spoons, can opener, pizza cutter, basic spices, and salt & pepper. If you are hoping we have another pan/tool of some kind, just ask, we just might have it!

The living room area has a Free Library (take a book and/or leave a book), a cell phone for emergencies (AT&T, Spring and T-Mobile work well at the cabin), comfortable couch and chair, and a blue-tooth speaker for your use. A dining table can be opened up to accommodate 4 people. Note it is an antique, so be patient with it. The legs slide out to support the two sides (there is also a larger table on the lower level that seats 6).

The covered porch is perfect for morning coffee. It has a bar height table for four and a small love seat. This is the perfect spot for bird-watching (occasional bear watching), enjoying a good thunderstorm, or just soaking in the silence.

The deck is the place to relax and unwind in the afternoon/early evening. The upper deck has a picnic table that seats 5-7, plenty of comfortable seating, and a slide! The lower deck has a gas grill. If you close the gates to the ground and the slide, it’s also enclosed to keep your pups safe with you (unless your dog is a climber – the gate is only railing height.
The lower level has a futon, table and six chairs, television and DVD player, large collection of DVDs, plenty of board games, and a puzzle library.

A few more notes:
Linens and bath towels are provided. You’ll need your own towels if you plan to play in the river.
There is an apartment size washer and dryer in a closet off the guest room. You are welcome to use the washer/dryer. Note that the dryer is very powerful and dries clothing, even towels quickly. There may or may not be detergent, so if you will need to use the washer/dryer bring your own.
Should you want to do any cleaning while you are staying at the cabin, a vacuum and cleaning supplies can be found in the laundry closet.
The property is very private – six acres of woods. The driveway is a long, gravel, and uphill, but even low-riding sports cars have no trouble getting up it. We are in the process of creating several trails which you are welcome to explore, but please beware of poison ivy (don’t wear shorts!), it is rampant in the woods. We do our best to keep it out of the yard and away from the house. We do see bear often, so we advise that you keep your dog on a leash when not in the fenced area.
If you should need something while at the cabin, there is a Sunoco station with a convenience store attached just minutes away on 340 that has many necessities (they aren’t cheap!) like ice, beer, soda, and snacks, plus a soft serve ice cream stand, The Dairy Bar (open seasonaly). It’s reported (by a local) that they have the best fried chicken in Warren County but we’ve yet to verify that. If you need other essentials, there’s a smaller gas station/convenience store even closer with an even smaller selection and a deli counter (they claim to have the coldest beer in Warren County). Front Royal is ten minutes away (Martin’s grocery store, Lowes, Walmart, Target, etc.) and Luray is fifteen (Small grocery store, fast food, mostly locally owned shops).
We hope you will enjoy the tranquility of Chateau Frankie and a break from electronic media. The cabin has no wifi or satellite service. If you have AT&T or T-mobile, a hot spot works very well. The TV has a Blu-ray DVD player and an aux-in, if you need a movie fix.
